These two images i like alot, they are brutal and also dark , but very eye catching they give you the obvious, straight to the point message , which is what i want
These images are striking especially the smoking one as your eye goes directly to the bright pink lips its very eye catching and also really gross
The 3 other images are not as eye catching but they show the effects alcohol has on people, the imagery is compelling and disturbing, its almost Frankenstein like which is intriguing.
For my first shoot of images i’ve been using my bedroom and myself to see what lighting works, i’m going to use 6 different people displaying 6 different gestures towards violence for the final shoot, at the moment i’m just using my sony cybershot before i do my final shoots which i will do two of to make sure i can get everything correct and lit right.

My New Idea is to focus on Violence and how it is a major issue in our society and the world, i will be doing this using dark lighting and minimal gestures / posing
i want to convey that its a dark and uneasy thing and even though we all know it exists we ignore it when we shouldn’t.
I’m trying to focus mainly on physical attributes to anger, like clecnhed fists, stern eyes, hidden faces etc
i want it to be dark and brooding and for the viewer to think yes that is a problem.
If i could change one thing in society what would it be?
The way we are viewed by each other.
My concept is introducing the world to the people of the world and how they want to be represented on a sticker.
We are known as many things these days and hardly ever by our own name.
By giving people these stickers and asking them to draw or write a representation of themselves, I then have placed them around the city where they can be seen.
By doing this I am introducing a persons creative side to the rest of the city.
These two images show the difference of how people are and react to things, one person took it as a joke and the other got creative and thought about what they were going to put on the sticker.
Its about representation in another form of ones self.
Because of social networking sites we are known to others as what our profile picture is, it use to be what out screen name is, but now we are in the digital age of the image.
We are known as an avatar or whatever we want to be known as, which shows people a part of us that we want others to see.
Its like self advertising with specific intentions.
By taking things we take for granted and use to enjoy at a younger age
doing these things alone or with someone else is alot of fun and is enjoyable,
i think alot of people have lost the ability to appreciate small things like an ice cream or a balloon.
I’ve noticed that alot of people don’t like there lives, there jobs or even them selfs, this has sparked me to think about campaigns about happiness, i’ve looked through a lot of posters of suicide and obesity and anything i found interesting below are the posters i felt portrayed images that were straight to the point but also interesting.
For my final images i used a tripod to shoot, i also had to wait for a cloudy day as the sun kept interfering with my images, i shot my subject in four different stages so i could change the opacity in photoshop so it gives the path she has just walked, and that you can see she is moving through the space.
Each location was already selected from previous shoots
When taking the photos of the location i used a small tripod so i was at her height when she is smaller, other wise the effect if everything being bigger wouldn’t work to the extent it has.
The clothing she is wearing was not discussed as i didn’t want her to show up too much, i wanted the viewer to have to search a bit for her, to see why they are looking at the image
