After looking at a few projects other people have done, i’m changing my idea a bit
I’m going to photograph a story
from when we draw a doodle when bored to what happens when we leave the house and what it gets up to, sort of like what happens when your not home so you’ll never know kind of thing.
I’ll be using myself as using a tripod will work best so i can get the best shots possible.
story board: has been drawn up and written
will post images soon.
i’m using a newspaper as the paper source for the doodle to be drawn on as we always find interesting ways to interact with news on a daily basis.
our own creation tells a story of its own.
but now i don’t think the doodle thing will work out so i’m going to use some little toys that sit on my desk.

from my storyboard i chose specific scenes to take and then integrate the smaller version of myself, certain shots did not work at all because of lighting and others did i have to put up the bad ones . lighting and people is difficult and annoying. the sun is also a problem.

Things that worked:
The first image with the door, although a little shadow would help
the size of myself
the bed image does work but needs to be edited more as i can still se bits that look untidy.
What didn’t work:
The couch/ lounge area, the lighting int he entire room was weird to begin with and made it hard, btu i wanted a social area with a tv.
the bathroom, i think the image of myself is to dark in contrast to the white surface, also needs a shadow and some different lighting effects on myself.
My Idea is to show our reality as if we were the size of ants, how we can still explore terrain and technology except in a different atmosphere, reducing a subjects scale to show how prominent an object or device is and how heavily used it is.
I want to show how we can still interact with objects no matter what scale we are.
Angles are showing the scale of the object and other objects around it compared to the person,
Lighting, angles, devices used, placement of objects.
I want to go more in-depth into devices, use broken, thrown away or lost hidden pieces that can be explored like a new terrain for someone of a much smaller stature.
My Idea for project two is inspired by http://little-people.blogspot.com/ a project about miniature figurines living in the city and try to survive

I want to create a story of living int he city as myself except even smaller , how do everyday things become so difficult and frustrating, i’m bringing this into technology and how can a small person use the readily given technology that is available.
Using computers, Cell Phones, Ipods, keyboards, Mice, headphones etc

From top to bottom the images are myself in reality merging with myself seen in the digital and how you can cross between reality and the virtual.

Using various techniques to incorporate a digital presence with these images of me merged into images of myself that are used as profile pictures for social networking sites like facebook, myspace, twitter etc
