These are my final images, i may remove one though.

IT HIDES IN US ALL
is referring to violence and anger that we are all capable of, i chose to portray these in a simple but unique way, i used a black + white filter, threshhold and the sketch tool. over two layers.
i wanted the viewer to see the images then go closer to read the blurb, and see the finer detail which is the faint body lines.

i didn’t want something extremely obvious, i wanted to play the viewer.

got to uni opened them and they are all blurred.
had to re shoot.

used someone different

used a different enviorment, as i could not get an SLR camera from the shop, had to borrow of someone who was at uni doing photos.

The Attacker
The eyes

For this image i am having half of the body but with just the eye in focus and the body blurred, this si to give the intensity of the persons intent and how threatening it is.

The face

A full on frontal of the persons face so you get the full intent from them, every little detail of what is going through there brain.
how there lip is the intensity in there eyes how you are there main focus.

Arm / Fist

Body parts are seen as strength , an arm of fist can do the most damage especially if it is well built, this body part is what intimidates the victim, intimidation and fear are what makes a victim become weak. this image is to express a sense of fear into the viewer.

The Victim

Crying / Upset

This shows a sense of vunrability and unhappyness, emotional upset and hurt, red eyes, tears, the shiver in the lip, it all gives you that little prick of god that this really effect people this badly.

Holding head in hands / distraught

This position gives the viewer an insight into the emotional termoil that a victim goes through, how they suffer far longer than we think, this pose is associated with hurt and termoil, and not knowing where to turn.

Defending/ fertile position

Showing someone in a defence pose shows they are willing but frightful, defending yourself is never something_ anyone wants to have to do, this position shows the viewer that a situation can turn very quickly , quicker than expected.

i saw this poster and it made me look at it, then re look at it, i think because it was somewhat effective, but also the marks on her top that are suppose to be from a car tyre don’t look like car tyre marks at all.

these make me laugh but it is also kindof effective, although the guy with the helmet looks pretty shit.

This one was the last one i found and it looks alot better than the rest, because of the lighting
also the line on the woman is alot brighter.

Using lens blur and a black and white layer, levels and contrast i have manupulated these images to give an emotional appeal to the viwer, but stil keeping it very much real.

I’ve been thinking about my photos and how i want them to be set.
i did a blurred one which looked kindof cool, it gave an illusion of your the attacker and the person is existing but not, i guess some form of state of mind that becomes blurred as the attacker always says, i don’t remember.

i’ve been looking at different poses and have decided on what i want for the final images

i’m still going to do another one or two test shoots befor ei do my final one though.
i don’t want to manipulate the images that much, just change the levels and contrast, and fix any lighting issues.

Above are the original images, i want three images to have faces and three to have body actions expressing violence or portraying violence / anger
i dropped my crappy camera and now its even worse quality, i’m just using it for testing and lighting.

altered images , using grey scale, black & white, levels, curves, brightness / contrast
have been playing to try and get a disturbing / moody approach to the image, i want the expression to be displayed better and have the words as a back up.

using opacity, levels, black & white to give an intruding effect, i want the viewer to remember the face and expression that the image conveys, you know how some stuff just stays with you in your mind. like that.

These two images i like alot, they are brutal and also dark , but very eye catching they give you the obvious, straight to the point message , which is what i want

These images are striking especially the smoking one as your eye goes directly to the bright pink lips its very eye catching and also really gross

The 3 other images are not as eye catching but they show the effects alcohol has on people, the imagery is compelling and disturbing, its almost Frankenstein like which is intriguing.
